I think I was burnt out on endless “Let’s meet up for a drink” dates and thought a true adventure date might be the cure. Thus, this was the (admittedly wild) first date plan I proposed:

Go on a dog sledding excursion through a snowy Maine forest
Drive another hour north
Ski away the afternoon
Have a nice dinner slope-side to end out the day
Drive back ~3 hours home

Then we arrived at the dog sledding place.
